Businesses with an existing award of tax credits through the Enhanced Enterprise Zone program seeking to gain access to those benefits should submit the Annual Tax Credit Application to the department no later than the end of the tax year immediately following the tax year for which they are seeking benefits.

Enterprise Zone designations are expected to expire as the duration is not to exceed 25 years. The federally funded HOME program provides a financing source for several eligible activities that increase the supply of affordable housing for low and very low income persons. As HOME Administrator for the State of Missouri, MHDC uses a portion of its annual HOME allocation to finance rental production at a very low interest rate, which results in rents that are affordable to low income families.
