JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) is accepting applications from Missouri broadband providers for its submission to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Broadband Infrastructure Program. 

The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today it will award more than $15.8 million to 38 recipients through its Community Development Block Grant Program to help communities with infrastructure improvement and other projects across Missouri.

Frozen Food Express (FFE) Transportation Services, Inc., a leading nationwide temperature-controlled transportation and warehousing provider, is expanding its business with a new transportation and logistics facility in Butler, Missouri. The company is investing nearly $6 million and creating nearly 60 new jobs in the region.

Long-term $800 million supply deal includes $210 million capital expansion, creation of more than 75 new jobs in Missouri and will provide specialized wafers for GF’s manufacturing facilities in New York and Vermont
