The Missouri Department of Economic Development approved two organizations for a total of $1.1 million in grants and tax credits under the Workforce Training Initiative round one.
Missouri’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.1 percent in November 2019, remaining unchanged from October. Seasonal adjustment is a statistical technique used to measure and remove influences of predictable seasonal patterns to show how employment and unemployment change monthly.
Today, the Department of Economic Development announced the start of the broadband grant program’s application period, which will allow submissions through January 7, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. CDT.
The CY2020 Youth Opportunities Program guidelines and application is now available. Applications will be accepted beginning December 2, 2019 and must be postmarked no later than December 20, 2019. Applications will be reviewed and scored competitively, with tax credits awarded based on score. Approved projects may begin as early as April 1, 2020.
