The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today the expansion of nine companies, among 90 total business projects, that it supported during 2023. The more than $55 million invested and up to 296 new jobs created by the companies are part of a total $2.9 billion in investment and more than 5,100 jobs created since January as a result of DED’s support.
Specialty Risk Insurance, a full-service agribusiness and commercial insurance agency, announced today that it will relocate its headquarters to an expanded facility in Carthage, investing more than $5.3 million and creating 201 jobs over the next six years. The company’s new facility will be conveniently located just off of Interstate 44 and will allow for its continued growth in the future.
Triumph Foods, a leading processor of premium pork products worldwide, announced today that it will expand in St. Joseph, creating 88 new jobs. The company’s expansion will enable the continued growth of its workforce.
The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that Lesley Rone, Southeast Regional Manager for the Division of Regional Engagement, has been appointed by Governor Parson as Missouri’s Designee to the Delta Regional Authority (DRA).
