The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that it has awarded a total of $12 million through the Cell Towers Grant Program for 29 projects. Grant awards will be used to construct new towers that provide quality cellular service and greater 911 connectivity to high-cost areas. SPX Cooling Tech, a full-service cooling tower and air-cooled heat exchanger manufacturer, announced today that it plans to open a manufacturing facility in Springfield, creating more than 60 new jobs as part of a capital plan focused on incremental capacity of SPX Cooling Tech products manufactured in the U.S.
The Department of Economic Development’s (DED) Office of Broadband Development (OBD) announced today that it has formed an Advisory Council to inform planning for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program and Digital Equity Act (DEA).
