CEDS Data & Research

This page brings together the key data, research, and stakeholder input that informed Missouri’s statewide Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). It shows what we analyzed, what we heard from partners across the state, and how those insights translated into the CEDS themes and priorities. It also serves as a reference library for communities, practitioners, and stakeholders who want to understand the findings in more detail and track the underlying work as the CEDS continues to be implemented.

The Missouri Industry Cluster Profiles summarize the size, composition, growth, and geographic footprint of key industry clusters in Missouri. The Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC), guided by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, analyzed Harvard Cluster definitions from the EDA-supported U.S. Cluster Mapping Project, identified Missouri’s 20 largest clusters, and then developed five Missouri-specific cluster definitions for deeper analysis and stakeholder engagement. The profiles include the five Missouri-specific clusters ad the 20 largest clusters. Read the full industry cluster profiles report.
