Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)

Strategizing for a Stronger Future

Missouri’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is complete and officially recognized by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA). Developed by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) with regional partners, the plan was shaped by economic and workforce research, a comprehensive review of local, regional, and statewide strategies, and statewide stakeholder engagement. The CEDS connects these inputs to statewide priorities to guide Missouri’s economic development efforts over the coming years.

Funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and developed in partnership with the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC), Missouri’s 2025 CEDS will drive federal funding into local communities, improve programs and policies, and promote bold economic development ideas.
