Orise Distribution to expand in St. Louis, investing $6.2 million and creating 40 new jobs

Orise Distribution, a startup wholesale distributor of medical supplies, announced today that it will expand in St. Louis, investing $6.2 million and creating 40 new jobs. The company’s expansion includes the addition of more than 5,000 square feet of space to its existing facility.

“It’s always exciting to see Missouri-made businesses like Orise Distribution growing and creating jobs,” said Governor Mike Kehoe. “Investments like these show that our state truly excels at supporting innovators of all sizes. We appreciate this company’s commitment to the St. Louis region and look forward to its future success.”

Orise specializes in the procurement, storage, and distribution of long-term medical equipment and supplies such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and mobility aids to various healthcare providers, institutions, and individual patients. The company is driven by a commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and purposeful growth. Orise’s founders have decades of experience in multiple industries and are skilled in streamlining complex systems to promote growth while contributing to the community.

“We’re proud to announce this significant new partnership between Orise Distribution and various regional stakeholders,” said Quentin Womack, CEO of Orise Distribution. “This expansion project is bringing together the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the St. Louis Development Corporation, Ameren, St. Louis community colleges and local political leaders. This collaboration marks a major step forward in strengthening the regional healthcare supply chain while driving new job creation and economic growth in St. Louis city.”

Orise was launched with a mission to transform the way manufacturing and distribution work by bringing precision, transparency, and speed to every stage of the supply chain. At its core, the company is a vertically integrated operation that controls production from raw materials to final distribution, allowing for exceptional quality, reduced inefficiencies, and swift responses to client needs. Orise is working to implement an AI-powered medical supply chain with plans to enter pharmaceutical distribution by 2026.

“DED is proud to support Orise Distribution as it expands and supports its community,” said Michelle Hataway, Director of the Department of Economic Development. “This company’s ingenuity is creating new opportunities for Missourians to prosper in St. Louis.”

For this expansion, Orise Distribution will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
