The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today the expansion of nine companies, among 90 total business projects, that it supported during 2023. The more than $55 million invested and up to 296 new jobs created by the companies are part of a total $2.9 billion in investment and more than 5,100 jobs created since January as a result of DED’s support.
“We’re excited to see each of these employers growing in Missouri,” said Governor Mike Parson. “Our investments in our state’s workforce and infrastructure are supporting the growth of leading businesses statewide. We look forward to seeing these companies continue to succeed as they create new jobs and opportunities for Missourians.”
St. Louis region
Advantage Solutions, a Fortune 1000 company that provides outsourced sales and marketing solutions to brands and retailers, is expanding in Clayton, investing $970,000 and creating new jobs.
CEdge, an IT software consulting firm, is expanding in St. Louis, investing more than $8.9 million and creating 90 new jobs.
Maryville Consulting Group, a professional services firm that helps Fortune 2000 companies transform into technology-enabled businesses, is expanding in St. Louis, investing more than $5.1 million and creating 66 new jobs.
Velta Technology, a company providing cybersecurity services and solutions for the protection of industrial assets, is expanding in St. Charles, investing $862,500 and creating 15 new jobs.
Kansas City region
Cathcart Repair Facilities, a leading freight car repair and rail services company, is expanding in Kansas City, investing $9 million and creating 20 new jobs over the next few years.
Donaldson Company, one of the largest global providers of unique filtration technologies and high-quality filters and parts, is expanding in Harrisonville, investing more than $6.4 million and creating 35 new jobs.
Reinhart Foodservice LLC, a subsidiary of Performance Food Group Company, a nationwide food and beverage distributor, is expanding in Lee’s Summit, investing more than $22 million and creating approximately 44 new jobs over six years.
Southeast region
Archaea Energy, the nation’s largest renewable natural gas producer, is establishing a location in Dexter with a significant investment and the creation of two new jobs.
Bulk Tank, a manufacturer of innovative parts for the pneumatic tank trailer industry, is expanding in Park Hills, investing $600,000 and creating nine new jobs.

The Regional Engagement Division, established in 2019, is dedicated to business development statewide through collaboration with local partners. With project managers serving in the areas where they live and work, the division delivers economic development solutions designed to meet the unique needs of each of the state’s regions.

As the state’s number one incentive tool for expansion and retention, the Missouri Works Program helps businesses access capital through withholdings or tax credits to embark on facility expansions and create jobs.
