Capital Holding Group, a construction and material production company, announced today that it will expand in Ozark, investing more than $29.5 million and creating 29 new jobs. The company’s expansion includes the construction of a new asphalt plant on its existing property, allowing its adjacent rock quarry to grow and modernize while staying in its current location. This will enhance efficiency and enable the company to serve a larger market.
“We congratulate Capital Holding Group on its expansion in Ozark,” said Governor Mike Kehoe. “This company’s continued investment in southwest Missouri is welcome news that will further strengthen the area’s growing economy.”
Capital Holding Group offers multiple products and services in the construction industry. In addition to the asphalt plant, the company will also build a new replacement quality assurance lab to expand its testing capabilities.
“We are proud to partner with the Missouri Department of Economic Development in opening our new asphalt plant in Ozark, Missouri,” said Robbie Freels, Director of Operations for Capital Materials. “Since entering the market in 2019, we have been committed to investing in the City of Ozark and its surrounding communities. This new state-of-the-art plant will enable us to support the rapidly growing community with high quality materials and provide excellent new career opportunities.”
Capital Holding Group contributes to a range of jobs related to heavy highway work and state, local municipal, commercial, and residential projects. New jobs added as part of Capital Holding Group’s expansion will pay an average wage well above the county average.
“Exciting things are happening in Ozark,” said Michelle Hataway, Director of the Department of Economic Development. “Thank you, Capital Holding Group, for your continued investment and creation of new jobs that are sure to help Missourians prosper.”
For this expansion, Capital Holding Group will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
What others are saying

"Not only does new job growth boost the local economy, but an efficient new asphalt plant and the expansion of Capital's vital services further solidify southwest Missouri as an impactful economic driver for the state and the Midwest region."
