Description

The Industrial Site Development Grant supports critical business expansion and recruitment efforts through the development of local industrial sites throughout the state.

Details

Total allocation: $75,000,000 ($50,000,000 for projects 1,000 or more contiguous acres in size & $25,000,000 for projects under 1,000 contiguous acres in size)

Funding Structure

The Department intends to award all funds in one funding round, but may hold additional funding rounds prior to June 30, 2024, to ensure all available funds have been obligated prior to the ARPA funding deadline.

State awards $75 million in ARPA funding to help develop shovel-ready industrial sites statewide

The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of $75 million through the Industrial Site Development Grant Program for 15 projects across the state. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on helping communities develop shovel-ready industrial sites to support business expansion and attraction.

Do I Qualify?

The General Assembly appropriated the funds for political subdivisions. The following entities are eligible to receive funds from the program:

  • Missouri municipalities (incorporated cities, towns, or villages)
  • Missouri counties Missouri levee districts (organized pursuant to Chapter 245 RSMo)
  • Missouri Industrial Development Authorities (organized pursuant to Chapter 349 RSMo)
  • Port authorities (organized pursuant to Chapter 68 RSMo)
  • Other political subdivisions that conduct economic development activities

Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate that the proposed project meets the following requirements before their application will be considered for funding.

The Applicant can demonstrate site control in either site ownership, signed option to purchase, or letters of commitment from landowners whose properties compose the identified site.

The Applicant is registered with the Missouri Secretary of State to conduct business in the State, if applicable to the business entity type, and provides a certificate of good standing with its application.
