Description
The General Regulatory Sandbox Program enables a business subject to the jurisdiction of Missouri to obtain monitored access to the market in the state along with legal protections for a product or service related to the regulations that are being waived as a part of participation in the sandbox program , in order to demonstrate an innovative product or service without obtaining a license or other authorization that might otherwise be required.
Do I Qualify?
Applicants to the Sandbox Program must:
- Be subject to the jurisdiction of the State of Missouri
- Establish physical residence or virtual locations in Missouri from which the innovative offering will be developed and performed.
- Provide upon request any required information as determined by the regulatory relief office.
How Do I Apply?
Parties interested in participating in the Sandbox Program:
- Are strongly encouraged to submit a Pre- Application/Statement of Interest form to the RRO.
- An RRO staff member will then schedule a consultation to discuss the prospective applicant’s interest in the Sandbox Program.
- The applicant may then submit an official Sandbox application to DED for review, along with the $300.00 application fee.
- The RRO may provide assistance to an applicant in preparing an application for submission.
- Applications will be reviewed by the Advisory Committee and all executive agencies responsible for administering the relevant regulations.
- An applicant shall become a sandbox participant if the RRO approves the application and enters into a written agreement with the applicant describing the specific regulations to be waived or suspended.
- When an applicant is approved for participation in the Sandbox Program, the RRO shall inform the applicant and provide notice on DED’s website.
