State announces projects creating 300 new jobs in Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.—Today the Department of Economic Development announced six business expansion projects across the state that will generate $126,798,351 in capital investment and create 300 new jobs for Missouri families.

“Each project announced today represents new jobs and higher pay for Missouri families,” Director of Economic Development Rob Dixon said. “We’re working hard to make sure companies want to invest in Missouri, because every company, every dollar of investment and every job helps our state.”

Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union, a state-chartered credit union, is expanding in St. Louis Missouri. The company offers a wide variety of products and services to their members, from free checking to home loans to online and mobile access. The Credit Union is not a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., or any of its affiliates.

Blue Nile Contractors, a minority owned and operated wet utility contractor, is expanding in Birmingham, Missouri. Established in 2005, Blue Nile Contractors has grown to be a prominent go-to contractor. The company has utility and trenchless divisions, which do open cut sewer and water main construction as well as trenchless sewer rehabilitation.

Midwest Industrial Rubber, an independent specialty fabricator and distributor of conveyor belting and accessories, is expanding in Kansas City, Missouri. Founded in January 1980, MIR provides value-added products and services through their more than 20 full-service sales and fabrication facilities and satellite locations across the United States.

NICE Rail Products, a composite railroad tie manufacturer, is commencing production in St. Louis, Missouri. The company is owned/operated by veterans and plans to transform the railroad industry through its EvertrakTM line of railroad ties, made from recycled plastic and never-before recycled fiberglass.

Object Computing Inc. (OCI), a high-end software engineering and architectural design services company, is expanding in St. Louis, Missouri. The company is seeing significant interest and growth around technology offerings, has grown its internal business functions (sales, marketing, delivery and program management), and even more significantly its technology team. 

Spartan Light Metal Products, a full-service supplier of custom die cast aluminum and magnesium products for the automotive and consumer products markets, is expanding in Mexico, Missouri. The company has more than 1,000 employees with manufacturing facilities located in Hannibal and Mexico, Missouri, and Sparta, Illinois.
