ST. PETERS, MO – Today the Missouri Department of Economic Development joined the City of St. Peters and the St. Louis Regional Chamber to celebrate news that America’s largest online retailer, Amazon, plans to create more than 1,500 full-time jobs at a new fulfillment center. The fulfillment center will be more than 800,000 square feet and will hold tens of millions of products. Currently, there are more than 35,000 authors, sellers, and developers in Missouri growing their businesses and reaching new customers on Amazon products and services.
Statement from Department of Economic Development Director Rob Dixon:

I see a central location, and a logistics network that connects the entire globe.

Amazon saw all of those things too. We’ve built on relationships with Amazon, and they were impressed with Missouri’s story. They’re telling us that now by locating this facility here.
