Critical Materials & Pharmaceuticals Tax Credit

Implementation Date: April 2027

The Critical Materials and Pharmaceuticals tax credit supports major investments in Missouri production of critical materials or critical pharmaceuticals. The program provides tax credits to qualifying companies making significant investments in Missouri critical material or critical pharmaceutical production facilities, protecting national security, energy, and public health from negative impacts of supply chain disruptions. Expenditures under the program cannot be incurred prior to January 1, 2027.  The tentative implementation date for the tax credit program is April 2027.

Critical Materials & Pharmaceuticals Grant

Implementation Date: Subject to Legislative Appropriation

The Critical Materials and Pharmaceuticals grant program is intended to provide grants for qualifying projects to strengthen domestic production of critical materials and pharmaceuticals. The grant program supplements the tax credit program, having substantially the same requirements. Implementation is subject to legislative appropriation.
