Community Development Block Grant - Community Facility

This program helps Missouri communities construct facilities that will serve a large portion of the public with a variety of services. With education and health/well-being programs taking priority, communities can utilize this program to construct senior centers, day care centers, rural health clinics, telecommunications, and 911 services, among others.

State awards City of Washington $678,075 in CDBG for improvements to industrial park

Jefferson City, Mo- The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that the City of Washington is making necessary water improvements to the Schulze Industrial Park through a recently approved Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for $678,075. These improvements will help the community strengthen the industrial park and create opportunities for businesses to expand.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo- The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) approved five communities for a total of $1,201,134 through the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) program. These grants will help fund crucial infrastructure projects such as water systems and disaster recovery efforts.

DED approves $500,000 grant for water system improvements in Campbell

JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Department of Economic Development today announced that the City of Campbell has been awarded $500,000 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to help improve Campbell’s water system infrastructure.

The City has been losing over 20% of water due to faulty waterlines, hydrants and meters. The water system infrastructure improvements include replacing these areas as well as repairing multiple water tanks.

The project is also supported by a Missouri Department of Natural Resources loan and grant.

DED approves $43,217 to buyout property in Mosby damaged by flooding and severe weather in May

JEFFERSON CITY— The Missouri Department of Economic Development today announced that $43,217 dollars through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program will go towards buying flood-damaged property from owners in Mosby that were affected by severe weather in May of 2015.

Department of Economic Development awards $500,000 in CDBG funding to Big Lake

BIG LAKE, Mo.—The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) approved $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to assist the Village of Big Lake repair damage from recent flooding.

Using CDBG funds, Big Lake will clear or replace blocked culverts and dredge up to four channels of the Lake itself to improve drainage, with the sediment being deposited in appropriate locations. 

Community Development Block Grants - Water and Wastewater

This program helps communities establish or improve local water or sewer systems. Grants may be used for construction that is related to water treatment and distribution, and sewer treatment and collection for publicly owned systems.
