KANSAS CITY – The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that a Kansas City retail marketing firm will be expanding its local operations. Two West Inc.’s expansion, a capital investment of $560,000, is expected to create 30 new jobs.

For the past 15 years, Two West has been helping companies build stronger brand loyalty through unique customer engagement experiences. The firm’s strategic solutions have attracted national attention and helped the company grow into an industry leader. Two West’s expansion includes technology upgrades to better serve its clients. According to Betty Nelson and Michelle Brown of CBIZ, this is a great opportunity to bring this benefit to a very deserving long term client who takes care of its people and its community.

Two West is just one of several companies that have announced significant business expansions in the Kansas City area, joining Freightquote (bringing 1,100 jobs to Missouri), Cerner (creation of 15,000 jobs), Yanfeng USA Automotive Trim Systems (creation of 263 jobs), and Adrian Steel (creation of 39 jobs). With the 6th best entrepreneurial activity, the 8th lowest cost of living and over one million workers with a Bachelor’s degree or higher, Missouri provides a friendly environment for a growing and diverse economy.

Some of Missouri’s resources and initiatives that have aided business expansions include the Certified Work Ready Community Program, export assistance, customized job recruitment and screening, Certified Site designation, LocationOne site and building database, and others that can be found at www.ded.mo.gov.

To assist Two West with its expansion, the Department of Economic Development has authorized a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria.
