State government saves more than $17 million through energy efficiency.  Your business can too!

In the past four years, the State of Missouri has reduced energy consumption by nearly 22 percent across 3,200 state government buildings.  That’s a savings of more than $17 million since 2008!

Governor Jay Nixon in 2009 signed an executive order directing state agencies to reduce energy consumption by two percent a year for the next 10 years.  That goal was met and exceeded by two-and-a-half times in just four years.

Talisen Technologies, a St. Louis-based information technology company, helped the state carry out the energy mandate.  Strategies included applying for utility provider incentives for energy efficiency upgrades, adjusting thermostats during both the heating and cooling season and more.
