DED is using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to offer several grant programs. The Governor has prioritized 10+ grant programs to support businesses, nonprofits, community development, broadband infrastructure, and more.

- State awards $12 million in ARPA funding to expand cellular service statewide
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of $12 million through the Cell Towers Grant Program for 29 projects. Grant awards will be used to construct new towers that provide quality cellular service and greater 911 connectivity to high-cost areas. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on investing in the expansion of cellular service statewide.
- Entertainment Industry Grant Program Round 2 Guidelines Now Available
DED is pleased to announce a second round for the Entertainment Industry Grant Program. The first round of the program is now closed.
The program application is expected to be available on June 22, 2023, via the MO DED ARPA Federal Initiatives Submission Manager. Please note that you will need to sign up for a Submittable account to apply. Entertainment Industry Program guidelines are now available. - Nonprofit Grant Program Applications Now Closed
Due to the number of applications received, DED stopped accepting applications for the Nonprofit Grant Program at 5 p.m. on June 23, 2023. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a first come, first served basis. The Nonprofit Grant Program final guidelines for the program are available.

- Cell Towers Grant Program Closed for Applications
The Cell Towers Grant Program opened for applications on May 31, 2023, at 4 p.m. CST and closed on July 31, 2023. Application portals were separated into two project categories:
- Construction of new towers
- Retrofitting and/or refurbishment of existing towers
Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a first come, first served basis.

- State awards $75 million in ARPA funding to help develop shovel-ready industrial sites statewide
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of $75 million through the Industrial Site Development Grant Program for 15 projects across the state. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on helping communities develop shovel-ready industrial sites to support business expansion and attraction.
- State awards $30 million in ARPA funding to support statewide recovery of tourism industry
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of $30 million through the Local Tourism Asset Development Grant Program for 26 projects across the state. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on supporting projects that further the recovery of the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries.

The second application cycle for the Community Revitalization Grant Program - North Region closed at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023.
- State awards $94.15 million in ARPA funding to help revitalize Missouri communities
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of $94.15 million through the Community Revitalization Grant Program for 70 projects across the state. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on investing in communities of all sizes to support local priorities, encourage economic recovery, and build resilience for the future.
- State awards $30 million in ARPA funding to help companies find and train workers
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced the award of $30 million through the ARPA Workforce Training Grant Program. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on helping companies address workforce shortages by recruiting and training thousands of Missourians.
- State awards $261 million through the ARPA Broadband Infrastructure Grant Program to fund 60 broadband expansion projects
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of $261 million through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Broadband Infrastructure Grant Program to 60 recipients for projects that will expand and improve internet access statewide. Projects receiving funds are expected to create more than 55,000 connections in locations that previously lacked adequate internet access.

A new FAQs document, covering common questions regarding the Community Revitalization, Workforce Training, and Tourism programs, is now available here.
- Small Business Grant Program Award Announcements
DED began award announcements for the Small Business Grant Program on Friday, January 20, 2023. Award announcements will continue on an ongoing basis via Submittable messaging until all applicants have been notified.
To date, we have received applications requesting funding greater than the $10 million available for the program. As such, applications closed on November 30 at 12 p.m.
